This lens will not work on your a390 and there is not a version of this lens that will. We recommend taking a look at the Tarmon 200-500 https://mpex.com/tamron-sp-af-200-500... or maybe the Tamron 18-270 as potential options for shooting birds with your a390 camera body. Thanks!
