My Nikon uses AF-S lenses. Will the Tokina SZ 500mm f/8 Reflex MF Lens for Nikon F work with my camera?

Since it specifies for Nikon F, I know it will mount, but I was told only lenses marked as AF-S will actually work.
Is this true or will the Tokina work with my camera? Nikon D3100.
(Sorry, should have been more specific on my last question.)

Yes, this lens will be compatible with your D3100. While certain lenses may have compatibility issues with regards to autofocus (Such as Nikon lenses designated "AF-P") on the D3100, since this lens is manual focus, it will still be fully working with your camera. The actual mount is still the same and will let this lens attach.
